Situated at CAMH and the University of Toronto, SAMI is a training centre for research for the study of the social determinants of mental health and addictions issues and problems. Our objective is to establish a growing network of researchers who conduct investigations that lead to evidence-based practice, as well as prevention and promotion work to support mental health. Our initial undertakings are the SAMI Training Program, which includes a ten-week didactic course followed by 40 weeks of mentored personal and collaborative research, and a webinar series, which began its inaugural season on September 28, 2010. Watch the short video with SAMI PI and Training Director Dr. Kwame McKenzie talking about why you should apply to the program.
