The minimum services required to operate an MMT program are physicians, pharmacists and laboratory services. Research shows that adding counselling services and health and social support services to the program increases the likelihood of positive outcomes to your program’s treatment goals. These outcomes include improved client physical and psychological health and better quality of life as well as long-term benefits for society, such as reduced rates of crime and lower social and economic costs.
