In this workshop we will explore Canada's low-risk alcohol drinking guidelines (LRADG’s), their relationship to public health accountability agreements, regional alcohol burden data, and current Ontario-based campaigns addressing LRADG messaging. We will provide an overview of PHO’s 12-step health communication model with practical examples of evaluated campaigns.

Eric Fromm bemoaned the divorce of psychology from philosophical and religious traditions and, in many ways, this artificial separation from our historical and conceptual siblings has only increased.  The purpose of this organization is to provide venues that enrich conversations at the intersections of philosophy, psychology, and theological/religious studies, particularly emphasizing scholarship around the notion of the “Other.” 

We are in the grip of an approach to clinical practice that can leave individual practitioners feeling isolated and sometimes burned out, and patients dissatisfied with their care.

This Congress, developed by the first university center specifically focused on whole person care and bringing together acknowledged experts from around the world, will put you at the cutting edge of what it means to practice whole person care.

 As an effective knowledge transfer event, attending IOS means you will learn how to plan prevention initiatives, strengthen treatment systems and enhance the professionalism of Canada’s substance abuse field.
