Families provide love, guidance and support for children. People living in family structures that don’t meet the traditional definition of the two-parent, one man–one woman family can face unique challenges from society, including homophobia.

The purpose of this toolkit, produced by Family Services à la famille Ottawa, is to create GLBTTQ-friendly learning places for children from birth to six years. Topics include practical advice on working with children and working with educators in the school or preschool.
